Callout for Dancers to Take Part in ‘East Wall’ a Project Run by Hofesh Shechter Company and East London Dance

Are you a professional dancer looking for a once in a lifetime performance opportunity? Choreographers Becky Namgauds, Duwane Taylor, James Finnemore and Joseph Toonga are seeking London based female and male dancers to take part in East Wall, which will take place at the Tower of London, one of London’s most iconic buildings, in July 2018.

East Wall will feature a cast of up to 160 dancers, musicians and community participants to celebrate East London’s rich cultural heritage as part of the first major public art commission in the Tower of London moat since the Poppies installation Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red in 2014.

Dancers will be required to rehearse and perform alongside a large cast of up to 160 community and professional dancers, as well as lead workshops with schools and community cast.

Dancers should be 18+ and will be required to be DBS checked. We also request you complete our Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form that is included in the application form. East London Dance and the East Wall Project Partners are committed to equality and diversity and welcome applications from all sections of the community.

Monitoring information is detached from applications before being provided to the selection panel. Applicants must be available for auditions  and key dates in the Info Sheet.

Fee : This is a short-term contract. Payment will be in line with industry standards.
