Eisenhower Dance is Seeking Mature Dancers with strong technique in Ballet and Modern and with Performance Experience

Eisenhower Dance is a contemporary repertory dance company based in the Detroit Metropolitan area. The Company boasts a diverse repertory by nationally-known choreographers. Repertory has included works by Edgar Zendejas, David Parsons, Lar Lubovitch, Ron de Jesus, Ahmad Simmons, Gina Patterson, Jamey Hampton, Harrison McEldowney, David Dorfman, Stephanie Pizzo and artistic director Laurie Eisenhower, among many others.

Mature dancers should have a strong background in ballet and modern technique, along with performance experience. Ability to relocate to the Detroit area and transportation is required for Company members. Dancers are contracted from Mid-August through June. The contract length is variable but is generally between 40-45 weeks with national and international touring. Apprentice positions will also be considered during the audition.

A dancer must be a U.S. citizen or have a valid work visa that allows him/her to work for at least two years to be considered.

How to Apply: Please visit http://eisenhowerdance.org/auditions/ to register for your preferred audition date. Then on the day please bring:
-Completed Online Audition Form.  Please print a hard copy before submitting.  If you do not have access to a printer, you may fill out a form at the audition.
-Resume
-Head Shot (photocopy acceptable)
-Three references that include email and phone contact information

Video Auditions: It is preferable to have dancers audition in person and priority is given to those in attendance; however, if you are a highly skilled professional and not able to make one of the scheduled auditions, video submissions will be accepted if they are posted online and submitted prior to the first audition.

How to Apply: Videos must include a dance combination in both ballet and contemporary, as well as a performance video.  Video reels with overdubbed music are not acceptable.
