Exim Dance Company are Seeking Dancers for an Upcoming Research and Development
Exim Dance Company, based in Plymouth, Devon, is seeking 3 professional dancers and 1 understudy (2 males and 2 females) for their upcoming Research and Development Period between 19th February – 16th March (4 Weeks). Please note this is subject to successful funding.
The audition and choreography workshops will be delivered by Adam Benjamin.
Exim’s work has been inclusive since its founding in 2011. After successfully having 2 Arts Council tours in the past this will be our most ambitious tour to date.
Exim is an inclusive dance company we welcome auditions from all professional dancers: We are especially keen to hear from dancers with excellent improvisation and contact skills. You must be confident iwth the use of text and voice. You must be willing to explore creative tasks set by the choreography. We also welcome applicants from recent dance and theatre graduates.
Choreographed commissioned for the work: Adam Benjamin – joint founder and artistic director of CandoCo Dance Company and a pioneer of integrated dance.
Requirements: A unique performance style, professional performance experience, reliability and motivation are vital, as is a dedication to inclusive practice.
This is a paid freelance position at the rate of £500 per week; All rehearsal periods will take place in Plymouth.
When: Saturday 25th November 11am-5pm
Sunday: 26th November 11am – 5pm (Selected Candidates only)
Where: Plymouth
