Hagit Yakira dance is looking for an experienced male dancer for her new production Free Falling

Hagit Yakira – founder and director of Hagit Yakira dance is looking for an experienced male dancer for her new production Free Falling, which will be performed nationally throughout autumn 2016 and spring-summer 2017. A project supported by Sadler’s Wells, Laban Theatre and Dance4.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to participate in two days of workshops led by Hagit Yakira. The workshops are  for shortlisted applicants  only and are subject to the requirements as outlined.

Workshop/Audition dates, times and location:

London: Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Saturday 11th June and Sunday 12th June from 9.00am till 3.00pm. Shortlisted applicants will be informed by Wednesday 8th June More details about the workshops will be sent to those invited.

All applicants should be available for the creation period in London between September – October 2016. This contract is being offered at £440 per week for the five to six week period. Unfortunately no travel or accommodation expenses can be covered during this time. The selected dancer will also need to be available for touring 2016/2017. An additional daily rate, plus travel, accommodation and per diems will be offered for this.

Applicants should have the following experience/skills:

Strong contemporary dance training with excellent technical and creative abilities
Very strong partnering skills
Experience in improvisation
A willingness to contribute to the creative process
A desire to learn
An interest/familiarity with Hagit Yakira’s work
