Jason Mabana dance is looking for 8 dancers, for 4 weeks Reseach and Development towards a new creation.

Requiem for Aleppo is a lament for the destruction of a once-beautiful city where East met West in music, faith and philosophy. The music combines the words from the Christian requiem mass with Arabic poems from the 10th century about loss, death, God and love. The music’s interplay of Western choral tradition with ancient Arabic lyrical poetry is written to give a sense that though separated by religious differences we are all in the end human with the same needs, with the same sense of pain and loss in the face of death. It is a piece for 6 – 8 principal dancers and is designed to give wide scope for both abstract and figurative dance.

Looking for versatile, strong and physical dancers that will be available in January 2017.

Fee: 450 pounds per week.

Dates:
Week 1: 2nd to 8th of January 2017
Week 2: 9th to 15th of January 2017
Week 3: 16th to 22nd of January 2017
Week 4: 23rd to 29th of January 2017
