JUSTICE IN MOTION are Holding Auditions for Exceptional Male Performers

JUSTICE IN MOTION are holding auditions for exceptional male performers to join the core cast for CONTAINED.

We are looking for two highly skilled, versatile and committed individuals, with strong acting and movement background, as well as an enthusiasm for socio-critical theatre, to join our current production.

ROLES:
Robert – Mid to late thirties. A dreamer and activist at heart. Can be of any race. The ideal candidate will also have acrobatic skills.
Mayor – A middle aged man. Charismatic, well-spoken and sophisticated. From an influential family. Can be of any race.

CONTAINED is a physical theatre piece, based on Joakim Daun’s script “Pecking Order”, which focuses on migration, through the lens of bird migration. It is a creative collaboration between researcher Marieke van Houte (Oxford University) and Justice in Motion (EVOLVE company at Oxford Playhouse). It has previously been performed in its 25 min R&D version at Wilderness Festival this August with further performance dates scheduled in November/December.

CONTAINED will then be developed into a full length production in 2017, with the right candidates maintaining to be part of the core cast.
This project is fully funded and paid according to Equity Standards.

AUDITION DATE: Wednesday 14th September / 14:00 – 17:00 / at The Story Museum, Oxford

REHEARSAL DATE: w/c 20th November + additional dates between October – December t.b.c.

PERFORMANCE DATE: 12th November (t.b.c.) 8th December
