Payne Productions is Looking for 5 Female & 1 Male Dancer for R&D at Wilton’s Music Hall

Payne Productions is looking for 5 female dancers and 1 male dancer to complete its cast of 9 for its forthcoming studio research and development for ‘Bluebeard: The Chambers Scent’ at Wilton’s Music Hall from Monday 8th July to Friday 12th July 2019.

Gemma Payne has been awarded a creative residency at Wilton’s Music Hall this July. The project is supported by Arts Council England and The Chambers Scent Kickstarter campaign.

This is the first professional stage of research for this narrative theatrical piece that takes inspiration from a variety of Bluebeard inspired stories the classic tale ‘Bluebeard’ by Charles Perrault, ‘The Bloody Chamber’ by Angela Carter, ‘Women Who Run with the Wolves’ by Clarissa Pinkola and ‘Perfume: The Story of a Murder’ by Patrick Suskind. It is a gruesomely powerful, yet empowering story of trickery, innocence, and naivety, and represents the first production we will devise to showcase our artistic direction.

We are looking for professional dancers that have a strong physical and artistic presence, with a high level in both contemporary and classical dance. A strong interest in storytelling is essential and a minimum of two years of professional experience.

We are looking for:

5 Female dancers/playing ages: 19 – 30 years old. All 5 with long hair.

1 Male dancer/playing age: 19 – 23 years old.

Application deadline: Wednesday 15th May 2019, Midnight.
