Springs Dance Company is looking for one female and one or two male dancers with outstanding ability in contemporary dance, sound professional training and substantial performance experience for two different projects in 2016 and 2017.

Initially contracts will be offered for these projects only, but subsequently further work may be offered.

London audition: Saturday 21st May 2016

Location: Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, London

Call back: Thursday 26th May 2016

Location: Lee Green, London

Deadline for applications: 5pm Friday 13th May 2016

Rehearsals and touring will be part-time and rates of pay will be similar to Equity / ITC rates on a pro-rata basis. Dancers are paid on a self-employed basis.

The Magic Paintbrush
Four weeks of rehearsals with choreographer Darren Ellis, Director Nathan Stickley and Sound Artist Randolph Matthews for Springs’ new theatre production for ages 3+. We are looking for two exceptional performers with strong contemporary technique and creativity, as well as the desire and ability to engage with children.

Journey of the Magi
Springs’ Christmas production, which will tour to a variety of venues including schools, churches and theatres. This role requires varied character work and strong contemporary technique. The piece expresses and communicates contemporary Christian beliefs and values and therefore knowledge and understanding of these will be an advantage. The role also requires a willingness to tour.

Springs delivers an extensive education programme and the company is also looking for dancers that may be interested in teaching. Please include teaching experience in your application if relevant.

Project dates 2016 and 2017:
The Magic Paintbrush rehearsals: 4 weeks starting w/c 29th August

The Magic Paintbrush national tour: Part-time touring during September – November 2016 and January – March 2017

Journey of the Magi rehearsals: October / November (London)

Journey of the Magi national tour: 19th November – 23rd December
