This Woman Dance with Over 10.000 Honey Bees on Her Body

Sara Mapelli – self identified as a Bee Queen and as a healer, dancer, artist, builder of structures and bee keeper – dances with more than 12.000 honey bees all over her body during an healing performance.

This dance occurs during her Bee Dance Healing Ring that, according to her website, helps to treat through energy unresolved injury trauma, open heart surgeries, fractures, Lyme’s disease, among others health concerns. She said:

My energy realignment work addresses an individual’s ability to heal by re-synchronizing the bodies electrical energy system.

Concerning the dance, she describes it as dancing a duet among many, and illustrates it as:

These 12,000 bees push with their powerful wings from each side of my body, I resist and then I let go and flow and move with them.  It is a deep meditation and I feel the hive mind surround me, hold me, and expand my body on a cellular level.

On this interview from the National Geographic, she explains the meaning and purpose of the Bee Healing Ring ceremony and the process of covering her body with the bees, which starts by looking, very keenly, for the Queen.
