Barrowland Ballet is auditioning for dancers for the upcoming run of Whiteout as part of Made in Scotland 2016 at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Whiteout is a heartfelt dance theatre piece that gives resonance to the complexities of bi-racial relationships and therefore we are looking for strong, versatile dancers aged 25+- one black female and one white female dancer to join the company for run.

Audition Requirements:
We are looking for dancers to replace members of the original cast. Applicants must have strong contemporary dance technique and contact work. They must be comfortable in a devising environment as the piece will be re-worked with their own creative input.

Both roles include live acapella singing (Ndebele and Traditional Scottish for the black and white dancer respectively) and as such applicants must be confident and competent singers. This is a dance theatre piece and requires strong performance skills and theatricality.

Audition:
Sunday 8 May 2016 by invitation only.
Auditions will be held in London from 10am to 5pm.*
*if you are Scotland based and would prefer to be seen in Scotland please mention this in your application.
