Two Male Dancers Needed – Audition for New Production ‘Penguins’ (European Tour)

Male dancers required for Penguins, a new children’s dance theatre production coproduced by Cahoots NI, Birmingham Repertory Theatre and Prime Theatre, directed by Paul Mc Eneaney and choreographed by Carlos Pons Guerra, for a 4-week creation and production period at Birmingham Repertory Theatre in starting on 8th January 2018, followed by a UK and Northern Ireland tour from February-March 2018.

Based on the true story of two male penguins in a New York City zoo that hatched an egg and became a family, this heart-warming production will introduce children to diverse families, touring the UK, Northern Ireland and abroad in 2018.

We are looking for two male dancers with a minimum of three years’ professional experience, with excellent contemporary dance and physical theatre skills, good partnering, unique personalities and warm presence. Experience in children’s theatre/dance and narrative work very welcome. Skills in acrobatics, circus, classical dance and acting a plus, but not obligatory. Preferred heights: 1.75m onwards.
