Royal Conservatoire Dance ‘Artist Certificate’ Audition 2024

In order to further develop artistic and professional skills and gain stage experience, we offer dancers who have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Dance or equivalent, the opportunity to take part in a one-year follow-on programme, the Artist Certificate Dance programme. Bachelor Dance students and Artist Certificate Dance participants take part in classes, presentations, projects and performances together. For external performances they form the Royal Conservatoire Dance Ensemble. The Dance Ensemble provides presentations and performances in line with the profile of the programme.

In addition to daily classes, the certificates annual programme includes:
the Young Talent Project, the annual joint production with the Nederlands Dans Theater; Repertoire includes romantic ballets like Giselle, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, neo-classical ballets by Balanchine and Robbins, as well as ballets by Hans van Manen, Jiři Kylian, Nils Christe, Johan Inger, Crystal Pite, Jiři Pokorny, Paul Lightfoot & Sol Leon, Lukas Timulak, Maurice Causey and others;
Studio presentations and end-of-year performances by students of Royal Conservatoire Dance in the Royal Conservatoire’s dance studios and Amare’s Danstheater.
In addition to this intensive programme of training and performances, the curriculum also includes lessons in Pilates, body conditioning and yoga, as well as coaching in preparing for auditions and career planning.
Students who join the Royal Conservatoire Dance one-year additional programme receive an ‘Artist Certificate Dance’.
