Linden Dance Company are Looking for Two Dance Artists for their New Production ‘CAGED’.
Linden Dance Company are hosting a workshop-audition, seeking two highly physical dance artists for the Research & Development of a new outdoor dance performance drawing on the loneliness and isolation epidemic in the UK. As a workshop-audition, there will be no cuts during the day.
Linden Dance Company is an innovative professional dance company based in Birmingham, creating passionate and exciting new dance performances. Directed by Christopher Radford and Sara Macqueen, the company champions positivity, individuality and free expression and blends positive physical and mental wellbeing training throughout all areas of its work.
The company’s new work requires two strong performers and dancers/movers with excellent partnering skills, stamina and substantial upper body strength while being able to express emotion through their bodies. We are looking for two dance and/or movement artists who are comfortable with heights and have a positive and open approach to collaborative working processes and who enjoy exploring explosive and highly-physical movement qualities.
We welcome applications from recent graduates and from those who have not accessed formal dance training.
You must be over 18 and have the right to work in the UK.
This project is funded via Arts Council England’s National Lottery Project Grants.

Fee: £650/week
*Accommodation and travel provided by the company.

Participation in the workshop-audition is free of charge for dancers who are invited.
