ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

Kinissis International Dance Festival is a contemporary dance festival focusing on movement techniques. It innovates in our country with an immersive week of technical training led by renowned artists and companies from Latin America and other regions of the world, complemented by scenic practice activities and international networking. Its objectives are:

• To provide an accessible platform for professionalization in the performing arts.
• To contribute to projecting the Chilean artistic scene onto the international contemporary stage.
• To promote cultural exchange and international artistic collaboration.

CURATORIAL LINE

The festival invites organizers, guest teachers, and participants to join this cause, embracing values of artistic excellence and social justice. Specifically, it is expected that the guest teachers:
• Share the festival’s commitment to social justice, respecting and valuing the diversity of backgrounds, cultural capitals, and socio-economic conditions of all participants.
• Demonstrate a high level of excellence in their artistic and pedagogical work, contributing to elevating the standards of contemporary dance nationally by fostering a high-technique and empathetic learning environment.
• Have international experience and recognition, enriching the festival’s programming with global prestige and an informed perspective on prevailing aesthetics in the global contemporary scene.

PROGRAMMATIC STRUCTURE

The immersive week includes technical training sessions conducted by internationally experienced teachers from Chile, Latin America, and other regions worldwide, complemented by activities addressing other dimensions of scenic practice and fostering networks of cultural exchange.

• CRUDO Movement – José Avilés (Peru).
• Cuerpo Surgente – Gloria M. Morel (Paraguay).
• Bailable Contemporánea Sudaka – Sudakas Sudadas (Chile).
• El Cuerpo es Presente – Chery Matus (Chile).

COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES 2025 | A series of events that promote cultural exchange and international artistic collaboration:

2024 PRICES

TICKET A: 170,000 CLP / 190 EUR / 190 USD (Shipping costs not included).
• Access to the complete Kinissis 2025 program.

TICKET B: 110,000 CLP / 130 EUR / 130 USD (Shipping costs not included).
• 15 hours of training with Horacio Macuacua, 3 hours daily for 5 days.
• Access to Complementary Programming.

ACCOMMODATIONS

If you need help to find your accommodation, we’ll bring you in contact with our Hostels in collaboration.

REFUND POLICY

(1) You can pay for your ticket in 2 installments. Half of the value must be transferred at the time you decide to participate, and the second installment must be transferred by November 15, 2024. Otherwise, your spot will be opened to the waiting list.
(2) Kinissis reserves the right to take photographs and videos that may be reproduced, fixed, and published in print and/or digital media.
(3) Kinissis is not responsible for accidents or physical or psychological damages caused by one’s own omission or activity before, during, and after the event’s activities. All artists and participants must have their own health and accident insurance.
(4) Kinissis is not responsible for VISAS, migration requirements, medical insurance, among other things.
(5) If you wish to cancel your registration, you can do so by emailing [email protected] until November 15. You will receive a 100% refund of the fee. If you cancel between November 15 and December 26, only 50% will be refunded. Cancellations made after these dates will not be eligible for a refund.
