Komedija Theater Ballet Ensemble is Looking for Dancers

“KOMEDIJA” THEATER OF ZAGREB, Kaptol 9, announces an AUDITION for the position BALLET DANCER (M/F) in ballet ensemble.

The employment contract is for a certain period of time

Conditions:
– secondary ballet school or school for rhythmic and dance or another secondary school with a completed dance course or recognized artist status from the corresponding art association or MA in art department
– 1 year of work experience or recognised artist status from the corresponding art association

Job description:
• participates in the group and solo dance sections of the musical stage work
• actively collaborates in the preparation and performance of the show, performing all the tasks of ballet ensemble dancers as part of the program
• participates in drama performances
• mandatory daily conditioning exercises, and exercises before the start of the performance
• is obliged to undertake all artistic tasks entrusted to him by the artistic management or the director, and to participate in guest appearances
• if necessary, is obliged to perform the dance tasks of other dancers
• is obliged to participate in all kinds of radio, television, film, publicity and other recordings, which are organized by the Theatre.

Advantage: knowledge of ballet and/or other dance techniques and partnership skills

At the end of the pre-selection procedure, the selected candidates, who at the same time meet the formal conditions of the competition, will be notified by e – mail and invited to an audition.
In the event that the candidate does not attend the audition, it will be considered that he has withdrawn his application.
The audition will be held no later than two weeks after the end of the pre-selection in the premises of the Komedija Theatre.
The audition will include warm-up exercises and reproduction of choreographic sequences that will be set for solo and group performance as well as duet performance. Candidates will perform the given choreographic sequences with several members of the Komedija Theater Ballet Ensemble.

In the premises of the Komedija Theatre, Zagreb, Kaptol 27, first floor, Croatia.

When:

The audition will be held no later than two weeks after the end of the pre-selection.

 a short biography
 a school certificate copy
 a proof of professional qualifications
 a photo portrait
 2 photos in ballet/dance poses
 video clip or link to youtube/instagram/facebook or similar

Late and incomplete applications will not be considered. A person who has not submitted a timely and orderly application or who does not meet the formal conditions of the competition is not considered a candidate registered for the competition.
Candidates will be notified of the election results within the legal deadline. The decision on the election results will be published on the website of the Zagreb City Theater “Komedija”.
The employer has the right not to select any candidate and cancel the tender.
