RealReality Katja Heitmann is Looking for Professional Performers (m/f) and Interns for her New Project

RealReality is a longterm project (2018-2020). In RealReality Katja and her team is going to research and preserve movements which are in danger of extinction. The project is an ongoing research with multiple presentations in diverse formats; a movement exhibition in a museum, theatre performances, movement laboratories, field researches with diverse groups of people, working in public spaces. The physical material is radical and minimalistic. We will be working with a very precise isolation-technique and durational performance. For the enlargement of her professional dancers-team, Katja Heitmann is looking for performers/ dancers with a strong physical consciousness and technique, high concentration and an interest in challenging their anatomical possibilities. Performers should be open to performing in diverse contexts from museum to public spaces and being able for long-durational performing, working with a very conceptual movement approach. All physical discipline backgrounds – dance, mime, circus… – are welcome!
Performers, who are living relatively close to Tilburg, thus in the Netherlands or Belgium, have our preference. The audition includes two workshop-days on Monday, 8th and Tuesday, 9th October 2018. After these two days, there will be a selection for the final audition day on Thursday, 11th October.

Availability; The project periods will be spread over 2019 and 2020. However, it is very important that you are available in a period in March/ April 2019 and the full months of September and October 2019! First training periods will be in November/ December 2018 and planned after the final selection.

Payment; Professional performers will be paid for rehearsal- and performance days based on a freelance contract. Interns will receive an internship contract and a monthly intern payment based on CAO.
