Adam Russell Dance are looking for 3 North-East performers to collaborate on our newest project: Love_Dances.

Love_Dances is the latest piece created through the direction of dance artist Adam Russell. We are looking to meet other artists interested in sharing their own stories and life experiences of love through movement.

We hope to work with a diverse cast of artists from different backgrounds, communities and experiences for the next phase of Love_Dances and are particularly interested in meeting people who identify as:

– A D/deaf or Disabled artist;
– An artist of colour;
– A trans or gender non-conforming artist

Love_Dances will explore the difficulties of finding, keeping and experiencing Love, shaped and created by working together with each of the performers and drawing from direct personal experiences of love.

The R&D will take place in the North East of England and artists will be expected to be available for a minimum of 2 weeks, but ideally three, between 19th October to 14th November.

Artists do not need to be formally trained, either in dance or a similar performance, and we only ask that you believe in the power of movement to tell a story.

This opportunity is paid in line with Union rates for 2020/2021 across a three week period.

The shortlisting process will involve a small creative task to complete digitally! Following completion of the task, we
will shortlist which performers to meet and invite to be part of the Love_Dances creative team.
