APPLY NOW FOR THE 20th SEOUL INTERNATIONAL DANCE COMPETITION 2023
In celebration of the 20th anniversary, Seoul International Dance Competition is looking for dancers and choreographers in 4 categories of dance: Ballet, Contemporary, Ethnic Dance, and Choreography.
Seoul International Dance Competition (SIDC) is the biggest dance competition in South Korea, consisting of 4 categories: Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Ethics Dance, and Choreography. SIDC seeks to discover young and talented artists and help develop their craft by allowing them to compete on an international stage. Through this competition, it is our hope that the artists can collaborate as colleagues and contribute something meaningful to our common interest. Furthermore, we hope to lead dance communities in Korea at the forefront of their development and wish to be the epicenter of Asian culture and dance awareness around the world.
We believe that the SIDC will be a valuable platform for you to showcase your artistic talents to the world.
Cash Prizes: up to $1000 USD
**BENEFITS**
Accommodation will be provided to the semi-finalists.
Flight tickets will be provided to the outstanding participants selected from the video screening.
*The benefits above will be applied to the offline participants only.
*Accommodation is provided on a first-come, first-served basis with a limit of 70 semi-finalists.
*Accommodation is provided for 3 days before and after, including the day of the semi-finals (extension is possible only for finalists).
*Flight ticket support will be differentiated according to the ranking in the preliminaries.
Requirements:
Ballet – 11~27 years old
Contemporary Dance – 13~28 years old
Ethnic Dance – 11~35 years old
Choreography – Over 20 years old
Where:
The preliminaries will be held online, through video screening.
The semi-finals & finals will be held at Mapo Art Center in Seoul, South Korea.
*If participants are unable to come to Korea, they can participate online and compete without cash prizes.
When:
Preliminary: 24th~30th May
Semi-Final & Final: 4th~16th July
Closing Ceremony & Awards: 18th July
Contemporary / Ethnic Dance Festival: 5th July / 6th July
World Gala: 19th July
