Open call for the Professional Training Program in Dance, Physical Theatre & Creation 2026-2027 (Area Dansa in Barcelona, Spain)
AREA is a center dedicated to artistic guidance and to professional and personal development in the field of dance in the middle of this cultural city, Barcelona.
The Professional Training Program is designed to provide you the tools you need to grow as an artist & share with all the participants , the different artists around the city. Connected with festivals, theaters and different spaces around us.
Our approach combines technical rigor and high-quality teaching with the encouragement of creative drive and critical thinking. It is defined by close mentorship, a human-centered approach, and personalized follow-up.
Our teaching team is made up of experienced professionals who will help you develop both: your versatility and your creativity.
The program is structured into three years, each designed to enhance both technical development as well as personal and artistic growth.
The techniques and processes explored throughout the training are rooted primarily in contemporary dance, but also include urban dance styles, an introduction to contemporary circus, and the hybrid practice that emerges from the intersection of these disciplines

ONLINE AUDITION:
DATES: From the 10th of February to the 17th of April 2026
RESULTS: We will confirm by email as soon as possible whether you have been selected to study in the programme, May being the latest possible deadline.
BARCELONA AUDITION:
DATE AND TIME: 2nd and 3rd of May 2026 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
AUDITION LOCATION: Carrer Ca l’Alegre de Dalt, 55, 1B, 08024 Barcelona
RESULTS: Starting on 5th May 2026, we will confirm by email whether you have been selected to study in the programme.
