Ballet Trier is Looking to engage a Ballet Master/Mistress for the 2022/23 Season

Duties:

Daily classical training
Leading rehearsals
Providing artistic assistance to the director Roberto Scafati & guest choreographers
Detailed rehearsals of the company repertoire to preserve the style and expression developed by each choreographer
Implementing cast changes and re-staging productions
Co-ordinating the rehearsal/performance plan and company schedule.

Co-ordinating with other departments relevant to each production – KBB, Costume, Make-up & Technical workshops

During the 2022/23 season, under the direction of Roberto Scafati, the ballet company of Theater Trier will consist of 12 dancers and two apprentices. Each season the company produces three full-length new dance evenings, as well as two or three re-stagings of older work and an evening of choreography by company members, thus making up a repertoire of diverse and international choreographic work. Alongside performances in Trier, the company appears at national and international galas and guest performances. The working languages are English and German.

Profile:
A high level of written and spoken English and German.
Good communication skills.
A structured, independent and thorough working style.
Sensitivity to the creative process and artistic practices.
Experience as a ballet master/mistress.
