Barrowland Ballet is Looking for Female Contemporary Dancers

Barrowland Ballet – choreographer Natasha Gilmore – seeks highly skilled and experienced female contemporary dancers for the research, development and creation of a new production ICARUS.

We are looking for versatile performers confident with a theatrical character role and comfortable in a devised process. The piece will include voice work and live music; performers with experience of singing or playing an instrument are particularly welcome. Working with choreographer Natasha Gilmore and playwright Rob Evans the role will be built through improvisation and exploration.

Dancers must be available to join the company for research and development w/c 3 June 2019; w/c 10 June 2019 and devising from February 2020, premiere and touring April – beginning of June 2020.

When & Where:

Central London:
Sunday 3 Feb, 10am – 1pm with initial call backs 3pm – 5pm

Central Glasgow:
Saturday 16 Feb, 10am – 6pm

Final call-back for both London and Glasgow Auditions in:
Glasgow, Sunday 17 Feb, 10am – 5pm

Deadline for applications: Monday 28th January 2019.
