BODYTRAFFIC seeks extraordinary company members for full-time employment

VIDEO AUDITION

Ideal candidates are 24-30 years old, classically trained, with two years previous professional contemporary experience. Team players with supple bodies and minds who want to make LA their home, have a desire to contribute to the world in a positive way and enjoy life are encouraged to apply.

Male Dancers: 5’8” – 6′
muscular build, musical, depth of character

Female Dancers: 5’4” – 5’8”
interesting look, feminine yet athletic, articulate hands, expressive face

VIDEO AUDITION: To be considered for employment, please send a video that includes an introduction, ballet demonstration, improvisation, and two minutes of BODYTRAFFIC repertory to: [email protected]

Introduction: State your name, where you are from, where you currently live, why you want to dance for BODYTRAFFIC, describe a favorite meal in detail, tell us about a pet peeve, your greatest fear, your first kiss, something from your ‘bucket list’ and something else of your choosing that you want to share. Feel free to be poetic, bold, and / or creative.

Technical Demonstration: Show three short ballet combinations consisting of adagio with extensions, traveling waltz with pirouettes, and grand allegro.

Improvisation: 1 continuous minute of improvisation without edits that shows floor work, range of motion, plus articulation in feet, hands, and face.
