Call Out for Female Dancers for Project ‘Rodadoras’ in Spring & Summer 2018 with Becky Namgauds.

Female dancers of all shapes, sizes and ethnicities with powerful performance presence and outstanding floorwork skills are encouraged to apply for the development and creation of Rodadoras, an outdoor intimate performance.

The audition workshop is invite only and dancers will join me for an afternoon in either London or Birmingham.

I’m looking for three physically strong, versatile and dynamic performers with strong floorwork skills. You must be confident performing in soil, outdoors and in unusual spaces. Experience in Capoeira is a plus. An interest in creating work with feminist themes is important as well as an interest in working with me beyond Spring/Summer 2018.

Dancers based in London and the Midlands are encouraged to apply. You must be based and eligible to work in the UK.

Audition

When and Where:
London audition date 11/02/2018 – 2.30-8pm at Chisenhale Dance Space
Birmingham audition 18/02/2014 11.30-5pm at DanceXchange

What: 
The audition will take the form of a workshop where dancers will learn movement vocabulary, choreography from Rodadoras and explore collectively the theme and content. The audition is invite only.
