Choreographer Tiago Manquinho is Seeking Dancer for a New Production. Dancers with Disabilities are Welcome and Encourage to Apply
Choreographer Tiago Manquinho is seeking for his new production “Echogedicht”, dancers with performance experience. Dancers with disabilities are welcome and encouraged to apply. Contemporary dance background and experience in Contact-Improvisation is very welcome as well as the interest in a creative process involving improvisation skills. Artists must feel comfortable with intensive movement research. Spatial and physical awareness, the capacity to deconstruct movement, and the search for precision are welcome qualities. Dancers should be German based.
The Premiere is planned for May 6th, 2021 (LOT-Theater Braunschweig) with additional performances in several locations. The creation process will be in March and April (Braunschweig). Dancers and performers should be available for the entire working process. Participation in the project will be fully paid and travel costs will be covered.
The audition is to take place on the 10th of January in Braunschweig (Germany). The date might change due to travel restrictions. If necessary for reasons of access, there is the option to organize an online-format.

– a CV with a picture and a short letter of intent where you share a bit about yourself as an artist (your interests and priorities, past experiences, where you see yourself as a performer), why you want to join this project, or what you consider relevant to share. Please keep it short!
– max. two links to videos with password (focused on movement, with few cuts or editing, total max. 5 minutes)
Please note that only applications that meet the requirements above can be taken into consideration.

Costs for participants: Travel expenses and accommodation costs in connection with the audition cannot be covered.
