Choreographer Victor Fung (UK/Hong Kong) is seeking dance artists for various projects in 2018-19.
Based in UK and Hong Kong, award-winning choreographer Victor Fung is seeking dance artists for a number of projects for the stage and beyond. Dancers of all cultural backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
When: June 16 (Saturday) 10am-5pm

From the Top: Seeking 2 experienced male dancers with strong contemporary dance
technique and partnering skills for reconstruction of the original 30-minute duet and R&D for an expanded full-evening quartet version of the work.
From the Top is a witty dance work that explores the imbalance of power between performers and dance makers. Since its premiere in 2015, the piece has been presented in Hong Kong, South Korea, Germany and the United States to critical and popular acclaim.

Finding Meaning in an Uncertain World: Seeking male/female dancers with excellent contemporary dance
technique with unique movement style and strong personality for the new creation of a full-evening quartet.
Finding Meaning in an Uncertain World explores the ways in which meaning in dance is manipulated and distorted by all that surrounds it; a light-hearted critique on how meaning is created and decoded in
contemporary dance.
Rehearsal period: Oct 2018 & Feb 2019 / Jan & Feb 2019 (likely to be in Hong Kong, exact dates TBC)

When I Grow Up: Seeking male/female performers experienced in movement, voice and text who are interested in creating short performative interactions in public spaces.
When I Grow Up is a series of one-to-one dance interventions for public spaces. Through the sharing of stories about grow up in the form of movement, voice and text, these interactions aim to provide an opportunity to break boundaries and shift perceptions between people of diverse backgrounds.
