Dance Company of Volkstheater Rostock is Looking for Male Dancer

Job opportunity for professional male dancer with a high level of contemporary dance for the season 2022/23. It is an employment according to the contract “NV Bühne Solo”.

We are looking for a versatile dancer with professional experience and performing talent, who has the courage to express different emotions and who is interested in actively participating in the creative process. A classic base, as well as experience in improvisation and partnering are essential.
The dance company of Volkstheater Rostock appreciates teamwork. This requires individual responsibility and the ability of making decisions. The dancers have the opportunity to lead various workshops. For coproductions with drama and opera department, a certain level of german language is necessary.

ABOUT US: The dance company of Volkstheater Rostock consists of eight dancers which makes it the smallest department of Rostock theater. Each season the ensemble composes one production on big stage with their artistic director Katja Taranu or with a guest choreographer, creates one production on a small stage which is choreographed by the dancers themselves and also participates in coproductions with the drama- and opera -departments of Volkstheater Rostock. With innovation, openness, a huge commitment and personal initiative, the dancers are able to create a wide range of artistic requirements. At the same time, the members of the dance company contribute a great deal to the teaching of dance as well as the cultural education of children and teenagers in workshops and projects.
