Dickson Mbi Company are looking for professional performers to join us for a two weeks research and development period for our next production TELLUS.
Dickson Mbi Company have developed a unique form of expression fashioned by the desire to unite, connect, learn and create through the human experience. Dickson Mbi is a world-renowned dancer, musician and choreographer, and the 2023 winner of the Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in Dance for Enowate.
TELLUS draws its inspiration from the many courageous women in the world; their influences, the role they play in our society, as well as personal moments in the company of mothers. TELLUS is an attempt to express our appreciation for our mothers and the earth that sustains us all. We hope it can also offer an apology for the destruction we have inflicted and continue to cause.
We are looking for performers from any dance style and discipline, including actors and singers who are confident being physical:
– highly experienced dance artists, minimum of 2 years’ experience
– brilliant actors and singers who are confident movers, minimum of 2 years’ experience
Research will take place in London between Monday 24th June to Saturday 6th July 2024 and there will be opportunities following this for further research in August and the production in 2025. There is no guarantee upon coming to this research period that you will continue further into the production but note we are looking for potential candidates to work with us in the future and join our company long term.
Audition will be held in London on Saturday 8th June 2024 to select the performers for the upcoming research commencing 24th June. You must be available for all dates of this research period. This is paid opportunity, successful candidates will be notified of fees and further information upon invitation to the audition.
