Some Like It Hip Hop
Director and Choreographer Kate Prince of ZooNation will be holding auditions for dancers to perform in the hit show Some Like It Hip Hop when it returns for a West End run and UK tour this Autumn
Contract dates TBC – Mid September to Mid November 2019.
We are looking for exceptional dancers who must be versatile in styles including Popping, Locking, Breaking and House with strong storytelling and characterisation skills.
Auditions are by submission only
When: Auditions will be held on 18th and 19th March and you must be available for a recall on 20th March.

What we are looking for
We welcome dancers who are charismatic, highly skilled and diverse, whose abilities span more than just one genre of dance, including but not limited to contemporary, breaking, locking, popping, house dance, krump, African dance, lindy hop, salsa, experimental and freestyle.
We want to work with dancers who love to tell stories and feel comfortable doing character work. There will be a lot of ensemble work in the production and performers will need to be adaptable to different styles and able to follow choreography.
This is a barefoot production, there is no requirement to speak or sing.
We are looking for world-class dancers with the highest levels of skill.
We are committed to building a culturally diverse workforce and actively encourage applicants from different backgrounds.
Applicants must be aged 18+ at the time of the audition.
Dates of the engagement
The engagement will be from Monday 11 November 2019, with the outlook to end on Saturday 9 May 2020. This is inclusive of a 10-week rehearsal period (including production weeks), a London run at the Peacock Theatre followed by UK and International tour.
Please note that at this early stage the end date is subject to change.
All applicants must be available exclusively for this period.

Deadline for applications is 23:00 on Sunday 3 March 2019.Unfortunately, late applications cannot not be considered.
Please note:
- Regrettably, there will be no contributions made towards any travel required for the audition
- We will respond to successful and unsuccessful applications week commencing 11 March 2019
- Applicants must hold a valid work permit or visa enabling them to legally work in the UK for the duration of the engagement.
