Dissonance Dance Theatre is Seeking Contemporary Ballet Male and Female Dancers
Named “One of the 11 small-but-mighty dance companies outside of LA and NYC” by Dance Spirit Magazine, Dissonance Dance Theatre is a Washington, DC-based (USA) professional dance company founded in 2007 by Shawn Short.
Dissonance Dance Theatre is looking for male (5’6 +) and en pointe female (5’2 +) dancers who are talented, professional and hard-working. Dancers must possess strong classical ballet training and a willingness to dive into contemporary movement. Dissonance Dance Theatre company members receive monthly stipends. Apprentices are non-paid positions. The season runs July – April. Approximately 24 weeks of work with 20-25 hours of training per week. We provide men’s classes, PT referrals, and pointe shoe allotments; limited moving assistance available.
