Eliot Smith Dance is Holding an Audition for an Apprentice Dancer
Eliot Smith Dance (ESD) is offering an opportunity for one outstanding young dancer (18-25 years old) open to male and female, who can demonstrate high levels of commitment, enthusiasm for Eliot Smith’s work and exceptional talent in Contemporary and Ballet technique to join ESD’s independent apprentice programme in spring 2020.
This is an exciting offer for a dancer at the start of their promising careers to work with Eliot Smith Dance on an intensive programme which will include two weeks rehearsals and a tour in the North East of England, as well as opportunities to be involved with the delivery of ESD’s wide and varied participation programme.
Short Term –
Rehearsals: 30 March – 17 April 2020
Performances: 18 & 24 April, 8, 14, 16 & 29 May 2020
Apprentice Dancers will be paid an apprentice salary of £300 per week
An audition will be held in Newcastle upon Tyne (UK) on: Saturday 22nd February 2020
All dancers should be available for the full length of the contract.
Dancers must be eligible to live and work in the UK in order to participate, as regrettably, ESD cannot provide work permits for apprentices.
