Functionality and Perspective in Dance is Judith Sánchez Ruíz’s class investigation in release technique for more than ten years. Focus on the importance of being grounded, dancers work with initiation and arrival, visceral and organic movement. The class builds up stamina, but at the same time create an understanding of the shifting of weight, clarity of movement, attention to detail, precision, and dynamics in a multidirectional approach, allowing some islands of specific quality movement improv practice, waking up the imagination while working with a functionally aware body!

“Your Own God” Intensive Improvisation
This workshop will trigger your un/comfortable zone. a “pull-out” from the present moment and, within it, of an unpublished present of chaos and vulnerability. I’ve designed the « radio exercise »: allowing radical changes of states, provoking a shift of action in the brain that combines spontaneously preset determined information, making space for complexity and coincidence. all these explorations are an integral part of my process as a choreographer, exercises that both influence and structure my creative work. I will guide you to look for the unknown exploration of different approaches to the movement, and we will learn how to develop movement in composition with space and in a relationship with others.
