Gerrard Martin Dance requires an Afro-Caribbean / Black-mixed heritage, Male Contemporary dancer, for a 4 week R&D period.
GMD is creating a duet entitled ‘B’, a contemporary dance piece exploring the experiences of being both Black and Gay.
Dancers should possess at least 3 years professional training; have strong technique, contact work and floor skills, as well as a strong performance quality.
The piece will require the individual to be collaborative, sensitive, and both open-minded and physically inquisitive.
‘B’ will examine Black intimacy within a Gay, male context.
The R&D period will be conducted in two locations. The first 3 weeks will be spent researching in Northampton, and the final week in London, culminating in a London sharing for invited guests.
Dates of the R&D period are from the 28th May – 22nd JunePay. Equity weekly rate
