Humanhood is Looking for 1 Professional Dancer for International Touring & Future Creation
Humanhood is looking for 1 professional dancer to join the company for the re-stage of Torus, International touring and future creation in 2021/2022.
Humanhood’s Artistic Directors Julia Robert and Rudi Cole are looking for a fluid, dynamic and organic mover with a minimum of 2 years professional experience.Basic qualities include: rhythmicality, fluidity, floor-work, raw, soft, focus, dedication and commitment as well as attuned to Humanhood’s movement language and philosophy.
Humanhood pieces require high stamina and concentration, interested individuals need to be willing to explore their limits both physically and mentally.

1st round
Your CV and a short video/s which includes the following sent to [email protected]:
- INTRODUCTION: 30 seconds of introduction about yourself and the reasons why you wish to join Humanhood.
- IMPROVISATION: 1 minute of full body improvisation, moving through space in and out of the floor with fluidity and circular movements, engaging the spine, head and hands.
- REPERTOIRE: the first 30 seconds of the phrase from Torus repertoire (link below) performing the role of the central/front dancer by yourself in the studio (link: https://vimeo.com/295011477)
Deadline for applications submission: 17th April 2020
If successful you will be invited to:
2nd round: Audition
Monday 4th – Friday 8th May 2020 from 10am to 5pm Full week workshop/audition with Rudi and Julia in Granollers (Barcelona)
Please make sure you can attend the full 5 days of workshop/audition, dancers who cannot commit the full week will not be considered.
Initial working period:
11th to 29th May 2020 – Rehearsals in Granollers (Barcelona) running up to the Performance of Torus in Germany
fee: 500 pounds/week. The company will provide extra per-diems during tour to Germany.
Future contracted dates are planned for October-November 2020 and more intensively throughout 2021/2022
