Jamaal Burkmar is Seeking Dancers for Two Productions DONUTS and JUKEBOX

We’re on the lookout for dancers for two projects this year!
For the upcoming creation and tour of our new production DONUTS Co-produced by The Place , as well as digital creations of our work JUKEBOXin collaboration with Mahalia. We’re looking for dancers with a strong sense of musicality and timing, playful improvisation skills and ability to retain a large amount of technical choreography.
AUDITIONS:
We intend to hold a covid secure a socially distanced audition in London (16th of April), which would be invitation only. (there will also be an opportunity for those unable to travel due to current circumstances, to audition over zoom, please make it clear in your application email if this is the case).

- 1 page CV and headshot (doesn’t need to be a professional photo, just a clear photo of your face, not full body)
- Supporting Dance Footage
- Indicate which projects you are available for
Deadline for applications is the 26th of March 2021
We are intending to let dancers know by the 31st of March.
All dancers must have the right to work in the UK and be available for the commitment outlined in the project timeline. We are committed to pay dancers in line with ITC standards.
Please Note: We are not limited to, but are strongly encouraging black female dancers to apply, particularly as an important and necessary voice to contribute to Project 2. We are also open to graduates but please still provide a CV.

As there are two projects, there is the option of casting dancers separately for each, but preferably we’d like to have the same team across the two. The timelines for each project are as follows:
