Joli Vyann Auditions Spring / Summer 2024!! Joli Vyann are seeking Dancers / Acrobats for a variety of projects.
We are looking for:
1) Two performers for the creation and tour of a new outdoor duet, ‘Life’s a Beach’
2) A job share that will share the role with Olivia (Artistic Director of Joli Vyann) for the existing show ‘TimeLess’, which will tour summer 2024.
3) Two performers to cover the performances of Joli Vyann’s various existing shows.
Life’s a beach: About the show:
A fun and playful observation of family life at the beach, with darker undertones of more serious questions such as affordability of holidays and second homes raising local house prices. The work will be familiar, nostalgic and funny. Holidaymakers settling in amongst locals, the British weather, the sandy sandwiches, melting ice creams and greedy seagulls-.
TimeLess: About the show:
Timeless is about the passing of time and the fear that we as humanity are literally running out of it. Joli Vyann use their unique and dynamic style of dance, circus and theatre on a 7m high rotating hourglass, to tell the story of civilisation as we know it and its fragile relationship with time and nature.
Joli Vyann are running two workshop days, one on the 11th Feb and the other on the 3rd March. If you are unfamiliar with our work, please feel free to check these out. (Not compulsory to be accepted to the audition)

Requirements:
TimeLess job share specific requirements:
Contemporary dance (particularly athletic, dynamic and contact)
Hand to hand acrobatics, static and dynamic
Be comfortable working on large, moving structures at height
Be happy to build and deconstruct the set with correct teaching and supervision.
Requirements for all applicants:
Acrobatic and Circus skills (trickers, tumblers, acrobatic dance, gymnastics, hand to hand all welcome)
Contemporary dance (particularly athletic, dynamic and contact)
Be happy to work in the genre of physical theatre and to explore characterisation.
Be creative and happy to explore integrating the three genres of dance, circus and theatre
Be happy to take feedback, notes and be professional and respectful in a studio environment.
Be happy to work collaboratively
Interest in working outdoors and working as a team.
Experience on stage and the ability to take direction and learn choreography with a strong theatrical presence.
