Klaipėda State Music Theatre is Looking for Ballet Master and Rehearsal Director (permanent position in Klaipeda, Lithuania)
We offer a job in Lithuania’s seaport city, in a newly built theatre within walking distance to the idyllic Baltic seaside, with a very young dance company, but hugely dynamic and ambitious. In recent years, Klaipėda State Music Theatre (KSMT) company has participated in productions by such prominent, internationally acclaimed contemporary choreographers as Edward Clug (Romania/Slovenia), Alexander Ekman (Sweden), Robert Bondara (Poland), Martynas Rimeikis (Lithuania), and Gaj Žmavc (Slovenia). All of these works have received favourable critical reviews, awards, and strong audience interest.

Requirements:
The successful candidate should have the following skills and experiences:
• Appropriate dance/teaching qualifications
• experience of dancing/teaching in a variety of styles, including ballet and modern/contemporary dance
• preferably experience assisting choreographers or creating choreography for dance productions; knowledge of the specifics of working in a music theatre (would be an advantage)
• basic computer skills
• independent rehearsal planning and work organization skills
• ability to collaborate creatively with dancers, fellow members of the ballet company, conductors, choreographers, and directors
