▶︎ “Unleash the Beasts”
Behind Tamara’s approach and way of working lies a constant process of self-questioning about how the body finds its space in space. How it places itself, the position it takes and the subsequent impact that it can have, constantly being in a state of “negotiation” and adaptability. In the actual epoch of legitimizing our own selves and owning our grounds, Tamara uses physicality as a trigger point to let go off judgement, to let go off the ego through an experience of different quality propositions going from fluid to abrupt, from trance to repetition, from primitivism to “architecturism”. She seizes the dancer’s bodily attention into a palpable experience of time and space : The past, the present and the future live together; they carry the movement and the transformation.

The workshop aims to embark the students through a journey of musicality through movement and sound. The use of electronic, new age and techno music helps to create a circular way of moving as well as a direct response to the sound in order to bring up a more animal way of communicating. The senses are multiplied and the focus is sharp. Through the deconstruction of gestures, the body is constantly reaching for stimulation and surprise, the dance varies between linearity and animality with a constant quest of strong and unusual physicalities, all of it as an exploration of a vast spectrum of movement qualities to be able to build new on a neutral but solid base.
For this research, the focus will be on the group and more specifically on the traditional folk celebrations that have forged many communities around the world. The attention will be brought to the center of the space – a shared gravity point where movement and energy collide and are transformed spirally – in order to push the transcendental experience of the unity. Tamara invites dancers to take on the journey with openness and curiosity and to dive into the process with care and trust.

▶︎ TAMARA GVOZDENOVIC
Born in Serbia, raised in Switzerland, Tamara Gvozdenovic studied in London before settling in Brussels where she is now based. Many personalities with whom she worked affected her way of approaching dance in the on-going contemporary process of materializing the medium and with whom she has found a common ground to explore the many facets of dance-theatre : Rosemary Butcher, Simon Vincenzi, Franck Chartier & Gabriela Carrizo (Peeping Tom), Tabea Martin. Working as an artist, choreographer and performer, she is collaborating closely with music producer and renowned dj Kangding Ray since 2022. Together they become a duet of creators constantly questioning their individual medium and exploring the meeting of sound and movement. Tamara is also leading her research of the “ma” in the field of dance through her teaching, her performing and creations around the globe under the name of Le Facteur.

KANGDING RAY
David Letellier, known as Kangding Ray has been composing, producing, performing Live and DJing worldwide for almost a decade. His foundations in rock and experimental music give his sound a vitality and a distinctiveness that has won fans the world over, from discerning avant-garde music listeners, all the way to devoted clubbers.
Throughout his career and to critical acclaim, Kangding Ray showed his ability to keep a genuine artistic approach, while delivering powerful club-leaning tracks and beautiful cinematic soundscapes. He never ceased exploring and pushing further the envelope of his sound, slowly building a raw and visceral universe, focused on the ritual of collective dancing, and the emotional response to sound.
His collaboration project “Neon Chambers” with Sigha, has gained global attention since the premiere of their mind-bending live show at the edition of Atonal Festival in Berlin in 2018. Another of his fabulous collaboration with light artist Christopher Bauder on the monumental audio-visual kinetic art installation SKALAR has delighted the world’s most famous cultural venues ; sharing this unique experience of mixing kinetic mirrors, perfectly synchronised moving lights and intense soundscapes, towards a multidimensional journey and a reflection on the fundamental nature and essence of human emotions.
He has his own label, called “ara”, and continues to perform at major festivals around the globe, but he is also known for remixing great artists of the electronic scene (Ben Frost, Oscar Mulero, Inigo Kennedy,…).

Choreographer, dancer, performer and artistic director, Tamara Gvozdenovic founded Le Facteur, a dance-theatre company formed as a collective of artists.
Le Facteur was born from the inspiration and the desire to bring creators together around common artistic values and hybrid performance formats. Based between Belgium, France and Switzerland, Le Facteur develops a structure that reflects on the relationship between different mediums being mostly dance and experimental music. Several questions then arise about the place of the body, the sensory, the language or the matter in the themes the artists from the collective develop through their productions and their exchanges during their workshops.
He has four active productions : Tombés (2017), Tradition Travioli (2018) Les Dames (2019) and Élus (2022), and regularly offers workshops and collaborations.
