Lewis Major, in partnership with Adelaide Festival Centre, is Seeking 7 Dancers for Projects in 2019/2020

Lewis Major, in partnership with Adelaide Festival Centre, Australian Dance Theatre and Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre, is seeking experienced dancers for contracted projects taking place in 2019 and 2020.
The contract will include creation periods, performance and national and international touring work. Creation will involve some residency periods (accommodation and travel provided). Dancers will be employed on a freelance basis at the rate of $1200 AUD per week.

First confirmed creation/rehearsal periods are:

5 weeks – 1st April – May 3rd 2019
3 weeks – July 2019
Further periods to be advised for 2019/2020.
Auditions are by invitation and will be held over two days Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th November at LWD Hub, 1st floor, Cnr Morphett St & North Tce, Adelaide, SA, Australia.

Deadline for applications: 10th October

How to Apply: please forward CV, headshot and link to recent performance reel to [email protected] by no later than 11th October. Invitation to attend audition will be sent by the 13th. Video must not exceed 10 minutes and be of good quality. Please ensure that footage includes performance as well as rehearsal/studio footage, including floorwork.

Financial assistance for travel and accommodation is available for dancers travelling from regional SA, interstate or overseas. Please indicate in your email whether you would like to be considered for a stipend. Support is also available for international dancers to secure Australian work visas but please note that it is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure eligibility to travel to and audition in Australia in November.
