Master in Dance auditions – Royal Conservatoire Antwerp

The Royal Conservatoire Antwerp invites dance artists to audition for the Master in Dance, a two-year programme (60 ECTS credits) developed in collaboration with DE SINGEL International Arts Centre in Antwerp, Belgium.
We are looking for dance artists who wish to deepen their individual artistic practice and engage in embodied artistic research. Candidates should have a strong curiosity for the intersection of practice and theory, and a desire to develop their artistic and research trajectory within a critical and internationally oriented community.
The Master in Dance offers a curriculum that functions simultaneously as a residency at DE SINGEL, focusing on three key areas: embodiment, artistic practice, and research. Students work with local and international artists and researchers, and present their graduation projects at the master dance residency festival at DE SINGEL.

Requirements:

Admission to the Master’s programme in Dance is subject to the following additional conditions:

– A bachelor’s degree in Dance, provided that the applicant passes the artistic entrance examination and a bridging programme,
– A diploma from another professional bachelor’s programme or equivalent, provided that the applicant passes the artistic entrance examination and a bridging programme,
– An academic bachelor’s degree or equivalent, provided that the applicant passes the artistic entrance examination and a preparatory programme.

If you do not hold a bachelor’s degree, but have experience as a professional dancer, you may consider obtaining your bachelor’s degree in Dance through an RPL procedure. The RPL procedure is a method of validating certain professional competencies to obtain a certificate of competence for one or more well-defined course units of the Bachelor Dance programme.
