Milano Contemporary Ballet – International Contemporary Dance Program
Milano Contemporary Ballet is opening applications for its International Training Program 2026/27, an intensive professional program for contemporary dancers seeking technical growth, artistic development, and international experience.
Directed by Roberto Altamura, the program is based in Milan and welcomes dancers from all over the world into a dynamic environment focused on creation, research, and professional preparation.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The International Training Program has been active for over a decade and has hosted dancers from Europe, Asia, and beyond, creating a strong environment of cultural exchange and artistic dialogue.
Many dancers who trained with us are now working in professional companies in Italy and abroad, including:
Déjà Donné, Balletto Teatro di Torino, EgriBianco Danza, No Gravity Dance Company, Kamea Dance Company, Tanz Theater Pforzheim, Mainfranken Theater Würzburg, Biennale di Venezia, among others.
Milano Contemporary Ballet offers not only technical training, but also a space where dancers can grow artistically and personally
through collaboration with international choreographers and guest teachers.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE
Duration: 8 months
Location: Milan, Italy
Daily training includes:
Ballet technique for contemporary dancers
Contemporary techniques
Floorwork & partnering
Improvisation & composition
Pilates and Body Conditioning for dancers
Workshops with international guest artists
Creative and performance projects
Opportunities to perform in events and festivals
Requirements:
dancers aged 18–25 who wish to transition from training to professional contemporary dance life
