Online Audition for the Next Generation of Emerging Dancers to Join Shechter II

Hofesh Shechter have launched the search for the next generation of emerging dancers to become the 2022 cohort of Shechter II, the renowned apprentice touring company.

The Shechter II 2022 programme will run from January 2022 to December 2022 and provides a paid training and performance programme for 18-25 year olds to develop their skills as professional artists within a supportive environment.

Under the direction of renowned choreographer Hofesh Shechter and his artistic team you will gain individual insight into Hofesh’s distinctive choreographic style, advance your experience by working within an acclaimed national and international touring company, inspire young dancers worldwide and through our mentoring, feedback and professional development programme, enhance your own creativity as a dance artist.

How to apply: Due to Covid restrictions and our concerns for your safety, this year we will be running the first two stages of our auditions digitally.

Stage 1 – complete our Application Form  and submit a 1-minute video of you dancing. Full details of what we’d like you to send us are found on the application form.

Stage 2 – Successful shortlisted dancers will be invited to a Zoom audition on 16  or 17 July 2021.

Stage 3 – Final call candidates will be invited to an in-person audition in the autumn.

Deadline to Apply: Tuesday 6 July at 17:00 (BST)

Successful candidates shortlisted for the Zoom auditions will be notified by 14 July 2021.
