Peninsula Ballet Theatre is one of the peninsula’s most exciting and fresh professional ballet companies, offering diverse performance opportunities. Working with some of the finest choreographers in the Bay Area, PBT brings vitality to new contemporary pieces, as well as classical favorites. The 2018-19 season features the premier of an original and enchanting Nutcracker. Another highlight of the season is the biannual Cabaret evenings which showcases fun and expressive choreography, creating a memorable experience amongst the audience and the dancers.

Audition Details: Auditions will be led by Artistic Director Greg Amato. Includes ballet class covering women en pointe, partnering, and repertoire

Performance Information:

  • Rehearsals for Nutcracker and October Cabaret begin in September

  • Rehearsals held: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons, following company class taught by Greg Amato at Peninsula Ballet Theatre in San Mateo

Performance Dates:

  • Oct 12-13 Cabaret: Hot October Nights

  • Dec 1-2, 8-9, 15-16 Nutcracker Sweet (condensed version in PBT’s Studio Theatre)

  • Dec 22-24, 28-29 Nutcracker (full-length at the Fox Theatre in Redwood City)

  • Feb 8-9 Cabaret: Love Songs

  • May 4-5 Spring Sweet

  • Various community outreach
