Performers Required for a New Production by Grounded Movement, Directed by Temujin Gill (London 2012 Olympics Ceremony).

FIVE professional performers are required for, Ragtime to Grime, a new production by Grounded Movement, directed by Temujin Gill (London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony).

The production is about cultural amnesia and change, where the new generation often forgets what has come before, and will feature a specially commissioned mix of iconic Jazz and dance music.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Strong performers, with an eclectic movement background, who can adapt and differentiate between dance forms. Need to have a high level of individual dance skill, rhythmicality and virtuouso ability/tricks. Experience in one or more of the following helpful: traditional jazz, lindy hop/swing dance, old school British bebop, rhythm tap, breakin’ (b.boying) and other hip hop and funk dances. Some roles may include spoken word and rap.

26 November – 7 December (Monday – Friday)

Application Deadline:  30 September (midnight)

Audition: 5 November 10am – 6pm. Location TBC.
