Physical Acting: IN&OUT | workshop | FARM IN THE CAVE

Over its more than twenty years of existence, Farm in the Cave has been passing on its method of working with physical and musical expression in international workshops which are based on their experiences from their research, training and performance creation.

During the workshops company members share various ways of working with expression which go beyond the borders of the genres of physical, dramatic, dance, or musical theater, and with composition of individual or collective actions.

The Physical Acitng workshop will introduce participants to the main principles of preparing their body for a clear articulation of their movement. Working on the ability to react, to share with a partner as well as with the audience. At the same time, our training will derive from the personal artistic background of our lectures (the Immerse Performing training method, street dance).

Participants will practice different approaches to the creation of a physical score. They will focus on the movement articulation arising from OUTer and INner impulses. We will integrate working with an object that will serve us as a tool to create a physical score from the “OUTside”. We will use intentions to transmit the OUTer composition into creating the score from your “INner side”.

The workshop is dedicated to all dancers, performers, actors and anyone who wishes to expand their knowledge about the body, performative acting and the concept of physical theatre.

You’ll be led by Farm in the Cave’s performers Gioele Coccia and Eliška Vavříková, who have led numerous workshops both in the Czech Republic and abroad.

– You will finish your registration by paying the workshop fee deposit at the cost of 150 Euro until 20 September. The rest of the fee can be paid until September 24. We will send you all the payment details after your form registration.
