Richard Chappell Dance is Seeking Exceptional Singapore Based Dancers for a New Creation
Richard Chappell Dance is seeking exceptional Singapore based dancers with strong ballet, contact work, improvisation and floor work skills for a new creation and UK performances in May-June 2019, ahead of further development and performances in 2020.
RCD is looking for dancers with an open and honest mentality and a generous approach to working as part of a small and collaborative cast. Both experienced dancers and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
The primary project will consist of a three-week creation process in Singapore and the UK before one week of rehearsals and performances in Torbay, England. The audition will also be used to consider dancers for other creative activities happening after the project’s conclusion, including the potential further extension and development of the work in 2020.
The projects dancers will be paid a rate of 860 SGD per week and additional fees for performance overtime, statutory holiday pay and per diems, alongside all travel expenses. Dancers who have the right to work within Singapore are preferred, but it is not an essential requirement to attend the audition.
When: the 25th November from 10am-6pm
Where: The audition will be held at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts
