Somatic Movement & Herbalism – 8-day immersive workshop in Greece
An 8-day immersive workshop in Lefkada blending somatic movement, dance improvisation and herbal wisdom through collective living, nature practices and plant medicine exploration.
Guided by dance artists and movement educators Kyveli Kouvatsi and Yorgos Sioras Deligiannis (Losing Ground & Bloom Inside) and herbalist Aris Kokotsis, the program explores the relationship between body awareness, plant knowledge and relational practices of care.
Sessions unfold across studio spaces, nature settings, combining movement practice, herbal exploration and collective reflection.
Participants will engage with:
• somatic movement inquiry and dance improvisation
• co-movement, partnering and consent-based touch practices
• hands-on herbal practice: wild herb foraging and plant identification, crafting tinctures and herbal creams
• exploration of medicinal plants, plant mythology and traditional uses
• mindfulness, embodied awareness and experiential anatomy
• daily heart circles for reflection and collective listening
• a guided visit to Aris Kokotsis’ herbal workshop in Alexandros village
The program welcomes all bodies and backgrounds. No prior experience in dance or herbalism is required.
Places are limited to maintain a small and attentive group.
