Intensive Creation Lab for Professional Dancers and Pre-Professionals
With Laja Field (FR/USA) & Sebastian Zuber (CH) | from 24. January – 8. February 2026 at Tanzhaus Basel.
Join us for an exciting 2-week Intensive Creation Lab with internationally acclaimed choreographers Laja Field and Sebastian Zuber. This Lab is designed for professional dancers and advanced students eager to deepen their ensemble work, expand their performative presence, and develop new choreographic material. Participants will create two short pieces as a double bill to be presented publicly at Tanzhaus Basel – a new and inspiring space for contemporary dance in Switzerland, located in a transformed industrial building.
Both choreographers will work on the same thematic focus, offering different artistic perspectives and insights into their individual working methods. Dancers will explore complex movement material, group choreography, partnering, and floorwork, while immersing themselves in the unique creative processes of both artists.

About Tanzhaus Basel
Tanzhaus Basel is a new home for contemporary dance in the vibrant cultural city of Basel. Housed in a former industrial factory, it offers an inspiring setting with multiple venues for training, creation, and exchange. Positioned at the crossroads of Switzerland, France, and Germany, it opens doors for dancers to grow, connect, and collaborate internationally.

Who: This Creation Lab is designed for professional and pre professional dancers and movement artists. Participants must be 18+ to attend.
Costs for participants: 2 weeks for SFr 960.- & SFr 160.- for lunch (recommend but not obliged).
Early bird rate of SFr 870.- until Nov 5st 2025. Half of the tuition is due upon signing up and the remaining balance is due one week before the lab begins.
