The Caroline Liviakis Dance Company is looking for dancers for several exciting live performance and dance film projects for the upcoming year!
When: July 15th 1:30-3: 30 pm
Where: ODC (351 Shotwell St. San Francisco, CA), US
Performance Opportunities :
-The encore performance of the company’s debut evening-length work “There’s A New Kid In Town” (October 20, 2018, LEVYdance Studio)
-A dance film to be submitted to several dance film festivals in San Francisco and Los Angeles
-The company’s second evening-length work: “The Potential” (date TBD. Estimated sometime in March 2019)
-Various dance festival and collegiate guest artist performances
What We’re Looking For:
-2-6 Females
-Ages 16-40
-Strong and precise technique
-Bold stage presence and the ability to use facial expressions while dancing
-A large range of stylistic ability (especially in: contemporary, hip-hop, and ballet)
-Dancers who are regularly available nearly all day Sundays, who have flexible schedules, and who are ok with varying rehearsal times and days
CLDC has both company dancer and company mentee positions. Company dancers are paid project/performance stipends. Exact amounts will vary between individuals and across different projects. These will be presented as an offer after the audition.
How to apply:-Before auditioning you will be asked to fill out an audition form, sign a photo release waiver, and our photographer will take your headshot. You may bring your own headshot and resume if you wish but that is not necessary. Only those who sign the photo release, take the headshot, and fill out the audition form will be considered.
-No need to bring any prepared material. The audition will consist of a warmup and then 2 different combinations of company material. Just come ready to learn and perform!
-Wear whatever you think is most flattering and comfortable. No dance shoes of any type needed.
