TUYS – “Muddy Beach” Music Video | Looking for Dance-Savvy Actors
The band TUYS are currently looking for some dance-savvy people to participate in the band’S video shoot for their upcoming single “Muddy Beach” .
When: The project will take place at Kiesee Kiekebusch (Berlin Brandenburg) between the 20th and 23rd of July and last for three days.
For you to better understand the concept of the video, here is the first synopsis of it:
Muddy Beach takes an absurd and surreal try at the dystopian scenario of online echo chambers. It draws a satirical picture of social media bubbles which seem to primarily reflect the consumer’s opinion and thereby promote the road to an ever more polarised society. The song and its video also draw these bubbles as utterly boring or disturbing and thus call for more pluralist opinion-making.
Muddy Beach is a sketchy beach club community with very peculiar but resembling members. They may have special/surreal facial attributes and engage in almost sectarian behavior. The club consists of different commercial stands and activity sections, eventually similar to a festival’s food village with a “Muddy Beach” sign at its entrance. TUYS are members of that beach club and take the viewer/camera team on a tour (cf “The Office”, “Borat” and “Papaya”). On its right side, the Muddy Beach Club ends on a gigantic mirror or wall of mirrors, which serves as a metaphor for echo chambers and a technical tool for more artistic shots.
The story takes a twist around the bridge when all members go for a mysterious swim to the other side of the mirror. They might swim using weird techniques or sync in symmetrical constellations. At the end of the bridge, the viewer then discovers in a longer shot that there is another beach club on the other side of the mirror. The community of that club also seems almost endemic on its own. As the track’s solo plays, both groups join and have a massive party.

Clear instructions are provided a week ahead of the shoot and the first of the three days will be used for rehearsals.

Auditions: Online auditions between the 5th and the 14th of July.
