UNIT are looking to recruit two Dance Artists for a Research and Development period from Tuesday 27th – Saturday 31st August at Studio Wayne McGregor.
This residency will be facilitated by Kerry Nicholls and UNIT Artistic Director Tom Hobden. This will be a unique week of experimentation, research and exploration for both dancers and will include working with one other young dancer.
About UNIT:
The dance company for every body. We make projects in theatres, schools, market places, care homes and everywhere people are. We create dance that is made to bring people together, revealing personal stories and the communities that connect them.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for charismatic dancers with strong contemporary technique and stage presence who enjoy working collaboratively and devising creatively. It is important that you are comfortable delivering text and moving with non-dancers from different ages and backgrounds. We are looking for dancers 18years – 50years.
Fee: £500 per week
Although we are recruiting for this project specifically, we are also interested in finding a dancer who would be interested on working with UNIT on a longer term basis for future projects.
Audition: We will invite candidates to an audition on the afternoon of Thursday 6th June at The Place.
